not a sight you see every day

I ran into the grocery store yesterday after work for a few quick items. Since we are 3 weeks away from Christmas it was not surprising to me to see a Salvation Army Bell Ringer. The Bell Ringers really are a sign of the season. Back East these poor souls are usually bundled in 5+ layers to stay warm, and usually still look freezing. However, one might realize (which I didn't until I saw one) that Arizona Bell Ringers can wear shorts. It was the strangest phenomenon to me. Is I'm sure you've been able to guess, I'm having a hard time not being near cold weather for Christmas -- it's just not right!!

In other news, all but a few seniors have turned in their papers (and some have greatly benefited from the generous extra credit I have provided them for turning it in early). My freshmen are now giving their PowerPoint presentations they had to put together on a celebrety that has helped out the community. Many of my girls did Beyonce -- or I should say "Beyounce" because this is how they both pronounce it, and have spelled it in their PowerPoints. Also, did you know that Beyounce won "Best Female?" Yes, just "Best Female," not "of-the-year," not actress, singer or anything. Just "Best Female." Oh yes, this is my life!

Happy Friday to you all!
