some thoughts

Some thoughts I've been having:

  • I'm apparently not cut out to be a druggie.  I've been taking some DayQuil and Sudafed since coming down with a sinus infection.  I can't handle the drugs.  I get this strange, out of body experience.  My legs feel like jello, my brain turns to mush, my eyes do funny things; it's all rather frightning.  Good thing I don't do anything harder than DayQuil!
  • It's funny how it takes only a few people to ruin something for the rest of us.  For instance, the Sudafed I purchased today at the drugstore.  I had to look for what I wanted, pick up the card, take it to the pharmasist counter, sign a book, have my drivers license swiped, and sign my life away just to relive some sinus pain and pressure.  And this, because someone who was bored realized if you boiled Sudafed down, you could make a highly addictive drug (one we can all agree I would never do - see above bullet point).  Thanks for nothing!
  • Frostbite is nothing to mess around with.  I sort of had to learn this the hard way.  Since the temperatures have become artic around here, my windshield wipers broke.  The rubber blade froze to my winshield, rendering them useless.  Thank heavens it hasn't been snowing...  In any event, on Thursday I purchased some new ones, but it's been to cold to put them on.  For some reason, I thought the perfect time to replace them was at 5:30pm tonight, as I was leaving to go pick up a friend for dinner.  It only took but a minute, and I still have some spots on my thumbs that are numb.  Let's be honest -- it was a dumb move, one I regret.  Regret more than stapling my thumb or hole-punching my pajamas [I'll save those for another day].
Blogging has become difficult recently.  Time gets away from me, and then I feel like I have to make these big, earth shattering posts.  I'm trying to keep it simple.  Bear with me.

um, have you read my blog lately? i have very non-earth shattering nothing-ness in mine. Unless you count the fact that I worked out this week...i guess that's earth-shattering...
