springing

February and March in Arizona was magical. In fact, I would move back to Arizona in February and March in a heartbeat. Arizona's February and March is 70 degrees with blue skies, and occasional big, puffy, white "Ohio" clouds. As one who loves spring, Arizona was right up my alley. Because while it's in the 50's here today, next week it could be back to the 30's and cold. And even though the sun is out right now, and it looks beautiful and gloriously warm, the air still has a bite to it; Ohio refuses to let go of winter and will hold on with a firm grasp until eat least late April or early May.

I love spring because it's a time of renewal. I get to clean things, reorganize things, the end of school is in sight. It really is quite wonderful.

I'm in love with try to learn new things. I'm not so good at this because I'm a perfectionist. Not one of those perfectionists who works and works and works at something until it is just-so, and then tweaks it even more. No, I'm the perfectionist who won't even try to do something because if I cannot do it right the first time, it will not be done at all.

I know I will be an epic failure at any musical instrument (I can't read music, but have a keen ear). I like crafting and such. I'd like to do lettering and calligraphy. Or photography. Or stuff with my hands.

I'm in love right now with BYU's free, online Independent Study courses. It's like MIT's opencourseware without the headache!

I'm ready to spring into new and exciting things!
