Nanette's favorite store is Charlotte Russe (and I will remind you all right now that she is 35, not 14). They were having a sale on all bottoms, buy one, get one 50% off. She makes a bee-line for the sale rack, where everything is less than $7. On said rack she finds two acceptable pairs of jeans -- one pair of trouser jeans, upon my insistence, and a pair of "regular" jeans. She also bought 2 shirts, one of which was dreadfully out of her age range.
I don't care for Charlotte Russe, much less their sale rack. The store wouldn't know a natural fiber if it hit them in the face. Everything is polyester, pleather, fake metal, ugh. We quickly abandoned that store (2 pairs of jeans, 2 shirts and $26 later...).
Nanette needed to get something from Sephora so while she was going that I was lurking around for a new lipstick (since Smashbox decided to discontinue the color I was using). That was a good trip, and nothing too noteworthy to report. She did, however, have a gift card to Macy's that she wanted to use. As we were walking into Macy's I'm thinking we're going to head over to the women's department. No. She makes a mad dash for the Junior's SALE rack. UGH! Decides she doesn't like any of the jeans, but I do convince her to buy a little plaid cropped jacket with big buttons. Perhaps I can slowly but surely change her wardrobe around...
Out of desperation of nothing else to do, Nanette and I spent roughly 2 hours in T.J.Maxx. I bought a pair of Kate Spade sunglasses and Lulu Guinness perfume, she bought some high-end skin care stuff.
Saturday my dad was coming back to Phoenix from Sedona (really only to get to the airport). So I met him and Karen at In-n-Out for a burger and then went over to the ASU campus so that Karen could get some things for her son and daughter.
Also, on Saturday, Kristie found out she was a victim of Identity Theft (really, she was, but we both think the title is incredibly dramatic). She received a bill from a Gap Visa that she never opened, with $3600 on it. She called Gap (of which she has a regular credit card from) only to find out, long story short, that they had sent a letter to her old address in Glendale offering to upgrade her Gap card to a Gap Visa. The post office is really bad about forwarding mail, and didn't forward that piece of mail on. The new ladies living in the house she was renting decided to take Gap up on their offer and was using the Gap Visa, but also making payments on it -- which is so strange! Long story short, she doesn't owe any money on it, they think they know who it is, she filed a police report and filled out a "Identity Theft Victim packet" and everything is on it's way. She's agreed to testify against the people if they decide to take it to court. Kristie needed to get one of the forms in the packet notarized, which lead us to Saturday night.
Her friend Cindy is a notary so she called to see if she could bring it over. Cindy used to live with Nanette and Kristie in California, and when Cindy got married she and her husband moved here for his work. They were supposed to have friends come over for a cookout that night, but they cancelled, so Kristie and I went over to help them eat the food. And it was there that we fell in love. With a game called Rock Band.
It took us a while to figure out which were out best instruments. It was decided that drums were the hardest, and Kristie was amazing at them. I was rocking out on the bass guitar, and Cindy that lead guitar. Her husband, Steve, was our singer. If it hadn't been getting so late (and if Cindy wasn't pregnant and needing to go to bed) we really would have been there all night. I told Kristie this was enough of an excuse of me to want to buy an xbox 360, so I could have Rock Band. They promised to invite us over again soon so we can earn more songs.I don't have school today (hence why I'm blogging at 9:15 in the morning). It's President's Day! I have a big list of things to get done, when really all I want to do is read and watch TV. Must....be......productive....
We'll see how that goes. But, in order for me to do laundry, I have to go to Target and get more detergent -- which I was buying time with by blogging, since Target is not open 24 hours.
Happy Presidents day to you all!

Yeah-how bummed am I that we are stuck with Guitar Hero 3-which Max seriously ROCKS on! No Rock Band for Wii-maybe next year!
