So, in your iTunes, there's a funky little button under your playlists that says "Genius" and has a kind of atom-y looking doddle. This is when the magic starts.
So you push the button and the little iTunes monkeys look through all of your music. They pick out similarities and store them in their little monkey brains.
Then, you pick a song, any song. And these monkeys go back through their memories and say, "Hey! This song is like that one you picked, you should like it too!" And of course you like it, because duh, it's on your iTunes in the first place (knuckleheads).
But the real genius is that Genius digs up songs that you might not always listen to. They're in your library, they're old staples, but you don't remember their there. So instead of spending more money on songs you may or may not like, you get to listen to songs you've always had, but just forgot about.
It's like finding a dress in the back of your closet that you forgot you had, and SURPRISE! New outfit, for no money.
Now that's what I call genius.
