I'm so disappointed by this post. I love Wipeout. The smug, humorous commentary by the Duelling John hosts, the goofy nicknames they bestow upon the clueless contestants, the nigh-unto-impossible courses they devise for the sometimes hapless participants--it all adds up to mindless, brainmush fun for the viewer. Where is your sense of the absurd? Where is your appreciation for play? Stop being so jaded and demanding. You can watch the eleventy Law and Order spinoffs every day of the week and get your fix of drama and pervs and cops and badguys; one night a week, treat yourself to some escapism.
