01. I haven't been as caught up in the Royal Wedding details as I had initially thought I would and I think I know why. Here's the deal folks, they're having 2 cakes (a la Steel Magnolias) -- the more "traditional" cakes is going to be -- get this, a fruit cake. Let me say that again. The Royal Family is serving to their guests, a fruit cake. I know that the Brits aren't known for their adventurous pallets, but friends, this is just not ok. The second cake (or the "bleedin' arma-dillah" cake) is the Prince's cake, which will be made mostly out of his favorite cookies. It would be like my husband having a cake made out of Oreos. My only question for this is, why, oh why, didn't they consult with me first?
02. I recently converted to the iPhone. Friends, this is revolutionized my life. Does this make me the ultimate hipster, probably, and I might be ok with that. (If it wasn't the iPhone that made me the ultimate hipster, it certainly would have been the pair of red TOMS I recently purchased). I won't pretend like I'm more important now than I ever have been (which is not important at all), but it's so nice to just have everything right there in my hand. I think the number one thing about the iPhone that is so exciting to me is the amount of knowledge I have access to. I'm always trying to learn new things, always asking questions, always looking for new stuff -- and I have it in my hand at any time to look for. Stumble across a word I don't know? Look it up. Car making a funny noise? Look it up. Need to calm an antsy toddler with vintage Donald Duck episodes? Look it up. Trying to prove someone wrong? Look it up. And, I can play awesome games. Move over Angry Birds, Cut the Rope has taken your place.
03. For any of you who use Google Reader for your blog reading, and Google Chrome for your web browsing, you will love Google Next. It's a bookmark that you put on your bookmark tool bar that takes you to the actual website that the blog entry you want to read is found on. I was getting really frustrated with blog posts that don't include all of the post in one place (the "click here to read more" button) and this solves my frustration. You just keep hitting "next" bookmark and it takes you through all of your blogs, and when you get to the end, it tells you "Congratulations, you have reached the end of this internet," which kind of makes me feel like I'm standing on the edge of the world, looking over to the other side.
04. Spring hasn't exactly sprung here yet -- it's still a bit chilly, but that hasn't stopped me from wearing my Birkenstock a few times already. And this always reminds me of that sort of uncomfortable period where your feet have to readjust to wearing Birks. There's a lot of stretching and pain involved, but in the end, it's always worth it. Always.
05. Running has never appealed to me. Ever. Yet every spring I get this crazy idea that this is the year I am going to Become a Runner. And then I remember that that is cray cray. And you will never, ever see me running. Unless I'm being chased by a bear. But that will probably also never happen, because I will never be in the forest where there could be a bear. Unless it was in a zoo.
06. Two and a half weeks until Spring Break. 'nuff said.

That's why I love you, Kerrie. I agree, the fruitcake is not ok with me, either. I can maybe see the cookie cake happening...at a party! not even the armadillo cake, man! Too modern!
I also love you for not running. Keep it up!
A fruitcake, seriously? Yuck. I always wish I enjoyed running, but my attempt to get to my car quickly in the rain today reminded me that will probably never happen.
